Thank you for visiting our tryout page. Registration links are at the bottom of this page. We are excited about the upcoming season and the great athletes we will be working with. At El Paso Stars we are devoted to pushing our athletes to reach their potential with hard work, positive coaching, sound volleyball fundamentals, experienced staff, and a club-wide family support system.
This season we are offering Local, Regional and National teams. Competitive and affordable is our mission here at Stars.
Our Local Teams will compete in 10 local SURVA sanctioned tournaments. Local Teams will practice 2 days a week.
Our Regional Teams will compete locally in SURVA sanctioned tournaments and will have 3 out of town tournaments. Regional Teams will practice 3 days a week.
Our National Teams will compete locally in SURVA Sanctioned tournaments and will attend 5 out of town tournaments. National Teams will practice 3 days a week.
We are thrilled for our coaching staff to work with this season’s athletes! Big goals are being set and we can’t wait! We continue to offer fundraising plans for those who are interested in reducing club dues.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are tryouts?
Tryout format consists of testing (approach touch, block touch, shuttle, etc.), position-specific skill testing, overall skill testing, and team competition evaluation.
All players are evaluated on all skills. Players are placed on the highest team to meet her needs and skill level.
Players will receive an email notification of their team placement following the last day of tryouts.
Invitations will be issued at the week following the last tryout date or earlier. Teams will have a meeting to meet their coaches and other teammates the week following the last day of tryouts. Players and their families will have 24 hours after the meeting to sign-up for the club season.
How do I know what age group my daughter should register/play?
The rule of thumb is how old will your athlete be between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024.
That is the age group in which she should be trying out. Stars Volleyball also recommends players play with their grade for recruiting purposes, if they are eligible to play for two age groups (i.e. It is recommended a 13U player in 8th grade plays 14U with her grade). 2023-2024 Season Age Definitions
18 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005 OR Players who were born on or after July 1, 2004 and a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during some part of the current academic year
17 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2006 OR Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005 (18 years or younger) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the eleventh grade (11th) during the current academic year will be allowed to participate at the USA Junior National Championships on 17 and under teams.
16 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007
15 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008
14 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009
13 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010
12 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2011
11 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2012
How much are season fees?

Season tuition is subject to changes depending on the number of practices and tournments

National season fees include uniform (spandex x 2, backpack, jerseys x 3 and jump suit), 3 (2-hour) practices a week, coaches’ salaries and travel, tournament fees, facility use, equipment, etc.. Fees do not include travel-related expenses (hotel/air/ground) or any food.

How do season fees work?
Initial payment $350 is required within 48 hours of email invitations/team meetings. The initial payment is non-refundable for any reason and secures your spot with El Paso Stars Volleyball. Remaining balance to be charged in 7 equal payments beginning November 1, 2023.
How do season fees work?
